Salik is Dubai's Automatic Rad Toll Collection system. Using the Salik website www.salik.gov.ae you can Buy Salik Online, Recharge, Activate etc. Each time a vehicle passes through a Salik toll point AED 4 will be automatically deducted from the prepaid Salik toll account.
How to Install Salik Tag?
- You need to position your tag approx. 1 cm below your rear view mirror.
- (Metallic windscreen car have a place with dots or lighter color in the middle of your windscreen).
- Clean and dry inside the windshield where you will be sticking Salik tag.
- Hold the tag by the edge and peel the transparent liner from the sticky tag.
- Press one edge of the tag to the windshield and slowly apply to the opposite edge. Rub the tag's surface to avoid air bubbles trapping in between the tag and windshield.
Each time a person drives through a Salik toll gate, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology detects the vehicle and scans the Salik tag. A Toll amount of AED 4 will be automatically deducted from the prepaid toll account.

What will happen if I don't have enough funds in my account?
If you do not have sufficient balance in your Salik account you need to recharge your Salik account within 5 working days or you will get a fine of AED 50 for each day that you pass through a Salik toll gate.

How do I Recharge using Mobile Number and Plate number?
If your Mobile Number is registered on the account plus the vehicle's number then you can use these to select the account to be recharged instead of using the account number and PIN.

You can Recharge as little as 50 AED up to 50,000 AED for commercial users.
