Below are the Travel Guidelines / Requirements for International Arriving Passengers to India. Documents / Forms required to Submit before travel. Passengers have to submit Air Suvidha Exemption Form / Self Reporting Form 72 hours before Journey. 


1. Passenger can Apply for Exemption of Compulsory Institutional Quarantine if they are Pregnant (Doctors recommendation letter required), Parents accompanied by children below 10 years (Passport Copy required), Suffering from serious illness (Medical certificate required), Suffered a death in the family (Death/Doctor certificate required - Family consists of Spouse, Children, Sibling, Parents & Grandparents only), RT-PCR Negative Passenger (Copy of RT-PCR tests negative report required or result awaiting paper required - test should have been conducted within 96 hrs prior to undertaking the journey, Test report could also be produced upon arrival at the point of entry airport in India). 

As per the state rules of Karnataka, Kerala, and Odisha, all asymptomatic passengers will undergo home quarantine. All asymptomatic passengers having the first airport of entry located in these states, have to undergo 14 days mandatory home quarantine. Hence, the exemption is not required.


2. If Passenger is Eligible for Exemption Apply for Exemption then Fill the Self Reporting Form and If Passenger is from above-listed state no need to apply for Exemption just Fill the Self Reporting Form. If the Passenger is not eligible for Exemption then fill the Self Reporting Form and need to be in Compulsory Institutional Quarantine for 7 days.


3. All Passengers / Travelers should submit Exemption and self-declaration form on the online website of New Delhi Airport www.newdelhiairport.in at least 72 hours before the scheduled travel.


4. Passengers should agree to undergo 14 days home quarantine in the mentioned address if the application is approved. If a rejected passenger needs to undergo the institutional quarantine as per the govt. norms and approved centre.


Passengers have to undergo 7 days paid institutional quarantine at their own cost, followed by 7 days isolation at home with self-monitoring of health if the passenger is not coming under any Exemption category.


All passengers shall be advised to download the Arogya Setu app on their mobile phone. 


How to Apply for Exemption in Air Suvidha?

If you are eligible for Exemption you need to first apply for Exemption and then Fill the Self Declaration Form as your Unique Application Request Number which you got after submitting the Exemption Form should be provided in the Self Declaration Form.

Fill the details like

Upload Passport Copy, 

First Airport of Entry,

Final Destination Address,

Final Destination City, 

Pincode, 

Flight Number, 

PNR Number, 

Date of Journey, 

Country of Departure, 

Select Exemption Category from Dropdown, 

Upload the Supporting document, 

Select the No. of Passenger, 

Accept the Terms and Conditions by ticking

Agree the 14 days home quarantine by ticking (If Exemption is approved or else 7 days institutional quarantine should be undergone)

Click on Submit

Click on Fill Self Reporting Form in Air Suvidha (Which is available in the Top Right Corner of the website or click on www.newdelhiairport.in/self-reporting)

If you applied for Exemption please enter your request number in the space provided, if not eligible for exemption leave the space blank.

Complete the Self Reporting Form.


Please Take a Printout of the Approved Exemption Form and Self Reporting Form and keep it with you for submitting at the Airport in India.
